We are excited to announce a significant development for CREDEBL, a leading platform for Decentralized Identity (DID) and Verifiable Credentials (VC) management. CREDEBL is now officially part of the LF Decentralized Trust ecosystem, marking a major step forward in the platform's growth and the wider adoption of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) solutions. This move further strengthens our commitment to creating a more secure, transparent, and user-driven digital world.
CREDEBL: Developed by AYANWORKS
CREDEBL was conceived and built by AYANWORKS with the mission to simplify and enhance the usability of decentralized identity and verifiable credentials systems. Initially launched in 2023 as an open-source project, CREDEBL is created to address the pressing challenges in the digital identity sector. Since then, it has matured into a robust, scalable platform with a significant global footprint.
CREDEBL has been instrumental in advancing national digital identity systems, such as Bhutan’s National Digital Identity and Papua New Guinea’s SevisPass Digital ID, offering secure and streamlined solutions for managing digital identities at a population scale.
This move into the LF Decentralized Trust ecosystem marks a new chapter in the journey of CREDEBL Platform, as it moves from a startup project to a platform with the potential for even greater adoption.
The decision to contribute CREDEBL to LF Decentralized Trust marks a pivotal moment in the platform’s journey. As a project of this neutral, open-source umbrella organization, CREDEBL will benefit from the LF Decentralized Trust’s collaborative environment, which will help accelerate the global adoption of decentralized identity technologies. The trust that comes from being under the Linux Foundation is an added advantage.
