According to Juniper Research, the cost of digital identity verification, including checks for selfie biometrics, ID document authenticity, liveness detection, and fraud, will decrease from $0.20 in 2025 to $0.17 by 2029, a 15% reduction. This decline is due to the maturation and widespread adoption of identity verification processes. At the same time, global spending on identity verification is expected to rise by 74%, reaching $26 billion, which suggests a significant increase in the total number of verifications performed.
